As a Texan native, I've eaten many, many, types of BBQ. Some good, some great, some average, and some horrible. Bold BBQ was good. I had the sliced brisket sandwich with fried okra. My wife had the special grilled cheese with brisket and onions. My daughter had the cheese quesadilla and Mac n cheese. The brisket sandwich was good, I found the signature BBQ sauce a bit lacking in flavor, but it was a decent sauce. The brisket was tender and didn't have much grissel. I loved the fried okra. It was so crispy and delicious. Easily one of my favorite foods. My wife enjoyed her grilled cheese and my daughter her quesadilla and Mac n cheese.
All in all, it was a fine dinner and the live music was very enjoyable.

This was the first time I've eaten here , my best friend and I literally just happened upon this restaurant.
Very friendly staff and the food was really good!
I had BBQ and my friend had the catfish, she kept saying how good the catfish was.
I would definitely eat here again and highly recommend it!

Came here looking for good barbecue, but was disappointed. They gave me lean brisket though I asked for marbled, and it was dry and bland. The barbecue sauces all tasted alcoholic and the blue cheese slaw was rancid. The only good things I got were fried pickles and cheesy potatoes. Mac n cheese was aight

Awesome flavors on the smoked turkey and chicken wings! Not a sweet bbq, thankfully.

i had the pleasure of trying some delicious BBQ a few days ago, the mac and cheese was one of my favorites! the brisket egg roll was a fantastic addition, i didn’t know it was a thing and was pleasantly surprised! high quality sauces and queso, and excellent customer service. definitely recommend!

Nice place for a BBQ lunch. Had the 1/2 rack - nice bark, great smokey flavor, and the bones pulled out clean (I like more if a pull but didn't waste a bite!). Slaw was tasty and the fried okra nice and crunchy. The sauces provided were both well made but I leaned toward the spicey (very yummy). Reasonable price; nice family atmosphere. Looking forward to the next visit - brisket next! 😁

Great menu, good prices, easygoing atmosphere you'd expect at a local hometown BBQ joint. Always enjoy eating here even if I end up having to loosen my belt a little. That's on me tho, I can't pass up those habanero jelly bbq egg rolls.

We tried out this little gem today and were absolutely not disappointed. They were celebrating their 7th anniversary with a buffet, which meant we got to sample a little bit of everything—and every single bite was delicious. My favorite by far was the brisket lasagna. Hands down the best lasagna I’ve ever had, and it’s only served on Friday nights. If you love BBQ, skip the big-name spots and make the trip to downtown Wylie instead. Bold BBQ Pit will not disappoint.

The bbq is okay but they lack in sides. They’re bland and lacking flavor. The staff is courteous and the vibe is there. Just wish the food was better

Wow, I love great BBQ & this place had great brisket filled egg rolls. I did not have time for a big meal and ordered this appetizer! It did not disappoint! I will be going back soon to get a plate!

Bold Pit BBQ is hands down the best in Wylie and arguably the best brisket I’ve ever had! Our family eats here regularly, and every time, the food is absolutely amazing. The brisket is melt-in-your-mouth tender, the ribs are packed with flavor, and the sausage has the perfect smoky bite. Don’t get me started on their homemade bbq sauce, I’ve never tasted anything like it.
But what truly makes Bold Pit BBQ special is the people. The owners and staff are some of the friendliest, most welcoming folks you’ll ever meet. They make you feel like family, and that’s one of the many reasons we keep coming back. If you’re looking for delicious BBQ and a place that feels like home, this is the spot!

We’ve been coming here for almost two years now and Love it. I usually just swing by on my way home and get my Wife, Dad and myself dinner. Every time a friend or family member comes to town we always take them here. The staff is always amazing. Happy, great manners very attentive and are always either laughing at me or with me or because of me. Non the less they are GREAT.

Everything is always so delicious. I just had the frito chili pie and it is AMAZING. And on Wednesdays it's only $5!!! What? Worth so much more.

We sat and spoke with the owner over breakfast and, lunch for me, which was delicious!! Anytime I need to come to Wylie for our cakes we will definitely stop again. The personalization and quality of food is what matters!

A good place to enjoy favorable bbq themed meals served with great bbq flavor. I enjoyed the smoked chicken sandwich. I suggest it based on the first time visit, only. The owners are present and friendly. The atmosphere is subtle and relaxed with country music. Bold is understatement with hot bbq sauce.

We really enjoy the bbq grilled cheese, brisket egg rolls, mountain of fried pickles, the sauces and the buttery-caramely goodness that is the peach cobbler with a scoop of blue bell! This order above seems to be our regular purchase here but from what I recall, the other stuff was pretty decent as well.

I’ve been coming to this place for quite a bit now since I moved to Wylie, got to say the food is always amazing and staff is great, I honestly can’t wait to be back!! I highly recommend, you won’t regret it.

Laid back gem of Wylie. Food is outstanding. I been eating there for years and just realized I never did a review to say thanks for the amazing food. Our family loves coming. Happy wife, happy life... lol

We were invited here by friends for the live music. Brad and Kathie performed. They did a great job. Her voice is lovely!
It's a bbq joint, but we are pescatarian, so we had the fried catfish basket and the baked potato with only butter and chives. Everything was good. Their BBQ sauce seemed to be homemade, and it was really good. The staff was really friendly and the service was excellent.

We enjoyed everything we ate. Half priced baked potatoes on Friday night. Beer was a good price. Had great live music. Overall I enjoyed the visit.

We all loved the food! My husband had the brisket potato, my son had the smoked chicken salad, and I had the smoked meatloaf special with cheesy potatoes. I don't really order meatloaf out, but I was missing my mama who loved meatloaf, so I ordered it in her memory. It was so much food, I had to take some home. We all enjoyed the live music and relaxing after dinner. I'd totally do this again! 😊

Arrived Thursday, 12:10 pm, for lunch. Place was empty so I was able to walk up and order. Small dining room but has a lot of seats - cool Texas vibe. The lunch special - brisket sandwich - with an egg roll came to $20. The sandwich was so good. I forgot to take a picture cause I just dove in to eat it. I put the blazing hot BBQ sauce on it and it was awesome. Brisket eggroll is very good. Adding the jalapeño ranch is a nice touch too. Eggroll is good with the spicy barbecue sauce.

Random BBQ place today. For a bbq joint in an older downtown square, I was super surprised the staff was very friendly. Daniel is a 5 Star Cashier. His personality and welcoming vibe will change your day. I ordered the Stuffed Spud with Brisket and all the fixings, the beans were new to me on a potato. The moist brisket was flavorful. Generous portions. You wont find the traditional fountain drinks here, they tasted pretty good. I went with traditional tea, instead. Great food, smiling staff, and really clean. The wood tables were not filmy or sticky. All the tables had a full roll of paper towels. The bbq sauce bottles on the tables were not gunky and pretty full. I’ll be back for sure!

Such wonderful people, great atmosphere, and grooving music from Jay Cober and the Backline on our most recent visit.
Meats aren't heavily smoked, which is preferable to some less-Texan palettes. Texas Cuban and Cheesy Potatoes are great and the desserts are top-notch down-home goodness.

Great food, smiling staff, and really clean! Generous portions! Maybe some of the best fried okra I’ve ever had. Back to being clean, these wood tables were not filmy or sticky. The bbq sauce bottles on the tables were not gunky. The ladies bathroom was very clean! For a bbq joint in an older downtown spot, I was super (and pleasantly) surprised. Moist brisket was flavorful. Sauce is different than most I’ve had. We’ll be back for sure!

The menu selections are plentiful, and I suggest viewing them beforehand to avoid holding up the line if you're visiting in-person. Indecision and hunger don't mix.
I went for the smoked meatloaf (available on Thursdays this month, and sells out quickly!) It was delicious, with cheesy potatoes and green beans. If you're a dessert fan, good luck deciding what to get! 🤔 I chose the chocolate chip cookie, but the peach cobbler WILL make you slap ya neighbor with no regrets...

Food was great, staff was friendly. We shared a huge order of fried pickles which we crispy and tart. I tried the Texas Sandwich grilled brisket and cheese. It was amazing! I highly recommend!

Let's talk about this sandwich!! The Bodacious $18. It's 1lb of meat with a fresh stuffed jalapeño type with more meat & cheese. Just WOW!!!! Delicious 😋 If you haven't tried, go try it. Plus the staff was so kind & hospitable. True BBQ experience.

My husband and I tried Link's Bold BBQ for lunch today. We shared the Brisket, Sausage, Potato Casarole and Cole Slaw. As previously mentioned in reviews the Meats don't need the sauce and both where really tasty! I also really like the Cole Slaw!! The staff was really friendly and even though it is a counter service restaurant, they still checked on us to make sure we where happy. We will definitely return!!!

Cute little downtown spot with extremely friendly staff. The fried okra (chose crispy over regular) is probably the best I have ever had. Purchased a sandwich meal, in my case the chopped brisket sandwich with fried okra while my husband got the Sammich and fries. We were comfortably full.
UPDATE... Been back several times now and the food is always wonderful with the friendliest staff. Weekend nights they even have live music. As we have been trying new things on the menu, everything has been perfection.

Brisket has good flavor. I enjoyed the Smokey flavor of the beans. Mac and cheese could be better. But overall I’m happy 😊 i made my own Potato salad because I prefer mustard

Great specials. We had the stuffed Potato on Friday, then came back for the Tacos and Nachos on Tuesday and BBQ Egg-Rolls and Peach Pie with Ice Cream on Thursday. The food is delicious and a great deal. Also, they have a super-hero scavenger hunt for the kids and a 4-meat eating contest and wall of fame.

First time visit and we all really enjoyed our meals. Kids got mac and cheese, chicken nuggets and fries. My husband got their sliced brisket sandwich with potato salad (that was delicious). I got their brisket tacos on Tex Mex night at only $2 a taco. We will be back!

I'm from California and my friend's took us here cuz this was a family friendly environment. Food great & portion reasonable. Kids had fun doing the scavenger hunt & they received free ice cream for finishing the hunt. Will come again. Staff really friendly and helpful.

Recently moved to Wylie and my family and I were craving good ole BBQ so we gave Bold BBQ a try. This fun, quaint, family restaurant was nothing short of incredible. The staff very cool and charismatic. We all had different meals and sides and all all of us could not stop saying Yum, or wow this is so good. Cant wait to go back!

My family and I went here for the first time yesterday. We loved it. Atmosphere was great, food was delicious and the staff was so great. I love how well they were with my kids. They even got to play a little game and earn a cookie post meal. We will be back and you should check it out!

Bold BBQ is a great BBQ joint in downtown Wylie. We been a big fan for a while now. We decided to have them cater a wedding reception at our home. Not only did they take great care of everything, the BBQ they served far exceeded our expectations. The owners are super friendly and easy to work with. I would highly recommend them for any catering event.

If you're a rib fan, make a stop here. Oh and the potato salad is spot on! Wish I had the recipe! It's better than grandma's potato salad! This spot is legit. Food was awesome. Prices were fair and on point. Staff is super friendly. We'll be back for sure! Keep up the good work!

Great new place to take the family! The staff is friendly and welcoming. The BBQ brisket had great flavor, little fat, was moist. My oldest daughter got the ribs and she loved them. My wife got the dual meat sausage with Turkey. The sausage was great and the Turkey flavorable. I had the bbq beans with mac and all were on point. I had to go back and get the cobbler, asked for extra crust and they took care of me. All in all the food had great flavor the blue cheese was a pleasant surprise in the coleslaw but added a nice sharp taste. I fed my entire family for a little over 30.00 so price is very reasonable. New business and a great add to our rotation! We will definitely be back, SOON!
