Good BBQ tastes even better when it’s for a good cause.
Bold BBQ Pit was proud to once again participate in Taste of Wylie, held May 5, 2025, at Olde City Park in Historic Downtown Wylie. The annual event brings together local restaurants, businesses and the community for an afternoon of great food while raising money for local food pantries.
Pitmaster Adam and the Bold BBQ crew were there serving up samples of pulled pork sliders, house-made potato salad and sweet tea to hungry attendees. And judging by the steady stream of people stopping by the tent, Wylie came hungry!
But Taste of Wylie is about a lot more than getting to sample some of the best food our community has to offer. Proceeds from the event benefit four local organizations fighting hunger in our area: Wylie Community Christian Care Center, Amazing Grace Food Pantry, 5 Loaves Food Pantry and Hope for the Cities.
For participating restaurants like Bold BBQ Pit, that means donating the food, time and manpower needed to help make the event a success.
As a locally owned restaurant in Historic Downtown Wylie, we’re grateful for every opportunity we get to give back to the community that supports us all year long.
